Our Wedding Rings

We procured our rings from a shop in Stillwater, Minnesota, a town just north of Saint Paul on the Saint Croix River. We chose antique rings, for several reasons:

• We preferred reused or recycled materials for this symbolic and significant purchase, with awareness of the environmental and social consequences of the harvesting of gold and precious stones.
• We know that marriage is a challenging endeavor. We ask for support, prayers, and advice from our family and friends so that we can navigate the rapids, avoid the sinkholes, and enjoy the ride. We hope that positive energy from these antique rings will give us wisdom to keep the boat steady.
  

Here's a couple pretty pictures of our hands in 2009. We plan to take similar photos on future wedding anniversaries, to catalogue the good works our hands will do toward the manifestation of a better world, strengthened by our partnership.
